Literacy, financial barriers, access, social, systemic, and other issues should not be determinants of life and health equity. To ensure patients have the right resources at their fingertips, we have created barrier toolkits. We listened to our patients and created these for and with patients and caregivers. Funds for Families

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many breast cancer patients and their families are living with increased financial challenges.?Tigerlily Foundation offers financial grants to breast cancer patients through the Funds for Families COVID-19 Relief Program. The program provides financial assistance to families based on need.

CANCERCARE®

CancerCare® is the leading national organization dedicated to providing free, professional support services including case management, counseling, support groups, educational workshops, publications and financial assistance to anyone affected by cancer. All CancerCare services are provided by oncology social workers and world-leading cancer experts.

Association of Oncology Social Work

The Association of Oncology Social Work (AOSW) is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to the enhancement of psychosocial services to people with cancer and their families.

Therapy for Black Girls is an online space dedicated to encouraging the mental wellness of Black women and girls.

Family Reach

Family Reach is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to removing the financial barriers standing between a cancer patient and their treatment.

Our patient-led program connects and empowers patients, clinicians and researchers to exchange ideas and learn from each other – so we can drive more meaningful and fundable research and make faster progress to improve therapies that will end cancer.

BreastCancerTrials.org (BCT) is a non-profit service that encourages individuals affected by breast cancer to consider clinical trials as a routine option for care.

The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. We believe their Finding and Paying for Treatment section is especially helpful.

Joe’s House

(Discounted hotel lodging program)

Joe’s House is not an actual house, but a nonprofit organization that helps cancer patients and their families find a place to stay when traveling away from home for medical treatment.
